HAeval (Headache Evaluation) app provides a structured interview, report generator and diagnostic aid for those working with patients complaining of headache problems.

HAeval is our second installment for the Clinicians Assistant series of mobile apps. See Clinicians Assistant - AphasiaDx / VisionDx to learn about our original app.

These apps are designed to help a clinician during the initial interview / examination / differential diagnosis process. HAeval runs on both the iPhone and iPad. It is organized to be used as a structured interview for patients complaining of headache problems. A clinician could open the app and just follow the structure provided in the various sections of the app to conduct a comprehenive headache evaluation interview.

The program contains a database that can accomodate 40 patients at a time. Past patients can be removed from the database to make room for new patients. All data collected during the interview is stored in the database. This data can be retrieved, reviewed, changed and updated as needed.

A comprehensive report can be generated on the device (iPhone or iPad), for any patient in the database, at any time, for display on the device. This report can be emailed just by using the devices copy and email procedures. To print the report directly from the device, one would have to use a Print Utility program such as Print n Share from the iTunes App Store (we have no affiliation with that app and others could be used). Use the iPhone/iPad copy procedure to copy the report to the clipboard. Then, open Print n Share and request to print what is on the clipboard. You must have a WIFI connection to a computer previously set up to use Print n Share to use this technique.

To print a report from an email, it is better to copy the report from the email and paste it into a word processor type program for editing and printing. TextWrangler works very well.

We have several sample reports and additional screen captures on our website at http://www.neuropsychonline.com/MAHAeval.html .
